The purpose of I2DS2 is to promote, support, develop and disseminate guidelines, analyses, policies and strategies, adequate forms of culture and education, as well as activities related to research and innovation in the fields of security, defence and intelligence, in the spirit of Romanian and Euro-Atlantic values. I2DS2 cooperates with state institutions, other public or private organizations, associative and professional entities, and organizations from abroad.
I2DS2 aims to contribute to the development of defence and security attitudes, motivations and behaviours at the national, individual and organizational levels in contexts of vulnerability, perils and threats that may constitute risk factors for the internal and international security environments.

Niculae Iancu
President, Founder
He is a national security expert. He has worked in the field of international military cooperation and strategic planning, with relevant expertise in NATO, multinational operations, integrated planning and public policy in the field of security, defence and intelligence. He has over twenty years of experience in the field of military engineering research and intelligence and security higher education.
Cristian Eremia
Vice President, Founder
He is Major General (ret). He has worked in the foreign service as a military diplomat at the Romanian Embassies in Russia, Ukraine and Slovakia. He was later head of the Romanian Defense Attachment and then Deputy for Strategic Analysis of the Head of the Military Intelligence Directorate. He served as Deputy Secretary of State for Defense Policy, Planning and International Relations in the Ministry of National Defense.
Stefan Oprea
Member, Founder
He is General (ret). He has served as Romania's Military Representative to NATO and the EU, Deputy Chief of Staff, Adviser to the Minister of Defence and Director of the Land Forces General Staff. He gained international experience as Deputy Director of the Partnership Coordination Cell of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium.
Stefan Danila
Member, Founder
He is General (ret), the first Air Force General to be appointed Chief of Staff, 2011-2015. He was a fighter pilot on the MiG-21 and MiG-21 LanceR, ending his pilot career on C-130 transport aircraft. He has commanded two air bases, has extensive experience in leading military organizations, from tactical to strategic level. Without any political commitment, he was an adviser to the Prime Minister and the Minister of National Defence.
Cristian Dincovici

He is Lieutenant General (ret). Graduate (ranked 1st in undergraduate class based on GPA) of the Military Technical Academy, Bucharest. He held high military positions in the country and abroad. He served as head of the Military Intelligence Directorate.
He is President and CEO of TID Group , the founding business member of I2DS2.
